I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
